Industrial wastewater reuse
Treatment environments where fouling, scaling, and complex chemistry limit conventional membrane performance.
Industrial water technology
Vatlon Materials develops membrane-integrated materials and electrochemical system approaches to improve reliability, reduce fouling, and expand reuse of hard-to-treat industrial water streams.
Focus
Industrial water systems face persistent challenges from fouling, scaling, complex chemistry, cleaning burden, and rising reuse requirements.
Treatment environments where fouling, scaling, and complex chemistry limit conventional membrane performance.
Materials and operating approaches designed to extend run time, reduce cleaning frequency, and improve process reliability.
Electrochemical membrane operation and process-level control strategies designed to actively manage fouling in difficult industrial water systems.
About
Vatlon Materials, Inc. is an early-stage industrial water technology company developing membrane-integrated systems for industrial water treatment. The company is focused on the intersection of membrane science, electrochemical operation, and process control.
Vatlon Materials was founded by Saman Koohmaraie. The company is developing its core technology platform in collaboration with researchers at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a focus on moving electrochemical membrane science toward industrial deployment.
Vatlon is currently advancing bench-scale validation, technical partnerships, and non-dilutive funding opportunities.
